1. Independent Student Network (Non-Affiliation)
MTMC26 is an independent, non-commercial, peer-to-peer student forum. It is NOT an official platform of, authorized by, endorsed by, or legally representing Manipal TATA Medical College (MTMC), MAHE, or Tata Main Hospital (TMH) administration.
2. Individual Personal & Legal Responsibility
Each batch member is solely and personally responsible for the content, statements, and media they publish. The platform hosts, developers, and appointed batch moderators are neutral intermediaries under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act (2000) and bear no civil or criminal liability for member-generated content.
3. Medical Ethics & Patient Confidentiality
Absolute Zero Tolerance for disclosing patient names, bed numbers, face photographs, OPD/IPD file numbers, or identifiable medical histories from TMH or college postings (NMC & Medical Ethics Regulations). Leaking confidential university E-Pad exam question papers is strictly barred.
4. Zero Bullying, Anti-Ragging & Defamation
Defamation against professors, staff, or batchmates, targeted harassment, obscenity, and cyberbullying are strictly prohibited under Supreme Court Anti-Ragging directives. Community flags trigger auto-quarantine, and violations lead to immediate account suspension and deletion review.
5. Anonymous Wall Integrity & Anti-Doxxing
The Anonymous Wall protects peer doubts and candid advice. Posting phone numbers, doxxing, or malicious rumors is strictly blocked. To protect student safety and comply with lawful inquiries in extreme emergencies (e.g. self-harm or violence threats), internal backend audit identifiers (authorUid) are retained.
6. Batch Exclusivity & Single Identity Policy
One account per verified student phone number. Content remains strictly within MTMC Batch 2026. Taking screenshots to leak student discussions outside the batch is a serious breach of trust.
